Disappointing to find this bridge completely obscured by boarding and therefore with no views down the canal. Fortunately they have installed temporary access so at least we did not have to endure a massive detour or expensive alternative crossing.

To cross from San Marco island to Dorsoduro island you have to pass the Accademia bridge which is under construction and completely covered. It looks like Christo has been there. So there is nothing to see from the bridge still from the Canale Grande. Only...More

It’s a shame as this bridge is having work done at the moment so you are unable to see the actual bridge.

Currently undergoing restoration and repair the bridge is covered in netting and the walking surface is blocked off. Have to use temporary steps except for the first 5 or 6 steps on either side.

Shame really. Couldn't see anything of this bridge as it's having some work done to it. You could lift your camera up high and snap a good view though!

Despite the entrance fee being higher that advertised it was worth it. Particularly beautiful are the medieval and renaissance religious paintings on the first floor. Also the the statues and architectural drawings on the ground floor.

This bridge has beautiful views and is the oldest wooden bridge across the grand canal. But one secret thing, nearby there is a steel door with 2 hidden key holes. If you were a genius you will be able to find them!

We always so love walking over this bridge, near to our hotel in Dorsoduro, but total disappointment this time. The bridge boarded, and is shrouded in white netting. There were police at either side of the bridge to direct tourists on the correct way to...More

We made our way to the Ponte dell' Accademia and paid the entrance fee of 12 euros per adult. I was wanting to view the Leonardo DiVinci - "Uomo Vitruviano" but the original drawing is in really bad shape and only a few selected art...More
