Not very big. Exterior nice

Jumped off the boat to look around this building. Very ornate exterior but inside not very big, not as grand as some!

The church was built after the devastating plaque killed thousands of the inhabitants. It is a massive structure with the central part cordoned off in order to protect the marble floor. The highlight for me was the copy of a Tintoretto painting of The Wedding in Cana in which the painter paints himself in the foreground.

Often overlooked but well worth a visit. Some excellent paintings by renaissance artists such as Titian.

This church is so lovely, I wandered around it for a long time, and just sat on the steps out front and watched the vaporette and gondolas go by!

Santa Maria fella Salute is a Venice Must-See. It is just a short Vaporetto ride across the Grande Canal. My favorite painting is Titian's David and Goliath.

Wonderful church with memorable history...it's great to walk around, immerse yourself in the fabulous paintings or just say a prayer - it's a must to visit when in Venice.

A beautiful Basilica, free entrance. The building has many intersting nooks and cranies. Walk out side to the point where the Canale Grande starts. A short walk to the Gugneheim museum, walk there and look at the little bridges and plazas.

Not only on an island but a beautiful cathederial as well. A few minutes off of St. Marks, not visited as much as other churches due to its location. Not to be missed.

Visited on a dull grey day, so the interior was also dull. But is a fascinating piece of architecture and, obviously, is a fundamental part of the built environment of Venice. Well worth a look.

TBH this place was closed when we visited but even without going inside it was worth the trek. It is a lovely quiet area to look back at the grand canal and across to San Marco etc. The Basilica is very impressive from the outside and nearby places also look interesting.
