This amazing Baroque church has wonderful facade. Inside is just as good will small side chapels adorned with paintings by Tiziano amongst others. Entry is free but worth the cost of €2 to visit the side chapel to see other pictures including Tintaretto's "Wedding at Cana" which includes a self portrait. There is organ recital every day except Saturday at... More

Under the dome is open and very impressive. The alter is in the rear of the church. We attended Mass on Sunday and were able to enjoy viewing almost all locals. It was like a small window into the venetian life style.

This area was beautiful and although at a mere 2euros i would recommend going through. I would recommend researching before or having some knowledge which made the works there more interesting

This is a stunning building, and the inside is equally lovely...and free. One must still be respectful of the church, but it was nice to encounter free entry. It is awe-inspiring in and out. Furthermore, you cannot beat the views from the area in front and further around the tip of Punta Della Dogna next door.

This is a completely quiet area, with almost no people. A nice get-away from crowds, should you need that, and it's free to get in. It's beautiful inside!

Beautiful church, worth the trip across the Grand Canal to visit. Come at 3:30 in the afternoon for vespers and hear the organ play before mass begins. Beautiful.

This church is well worth the lovely walk over the Grand Canal and around it as you get views of the San Macro square and San Giorgio church. The exterior of the building is amazing with lots of detail. The interior was not as good.

It is a veritable work of art. The entire experience leaves one overwhelmed. The Titians are magnificent.

I guess I am churched out. This is another beautiful example not far from the Acadamia bridge. It is open in the afternoons.
