Fabulous, must do! It is so beautiful to see the church grounds, Giudecca, boat traffic, and the many island that Venice. It is a short 8 minute water bus ride from San Zacchariah stop. Wonderful, wonderful.

Only the No 2 boat goes here these days but it's a good frequent service and only one stop from S Marco (well, S Zacacaria actually). And well worth the hop across the water. I don't know why more people don't come here - but,...More

A short ride by Vaporetto from St.Marks. An impressive church with lovely surroundings. For a small fee you can ride in a lift to the top of the tower and the view of Venice is breathtaking.

Mass with Gregorian chants - so magnificent. The church is so lovely situated on an island opposite St Marks square. It is well worth the vaporetto trip over there. Stunning.

You can take a vaporetto from St Mark's over to San Giorgio. The church is beautiful and has some exhibits of the Biennale. We took the elevator up to the top of the tower and the view of Venice from the top was beautiful.

A wonderful stop, even on a rainy and windy day. The area is beautiful for a stroll and currently there is a 'glass week' in Venice and one can view some exhibitions here.

Great quick trip via ferry to go over to San Giorgio Maggiore to visit the church and go up the bell tower where there are great views of Venice including of St. Marks.

A boat ride over is required but worth it. Small island - maybe an hour to walk around but seeing San Marco square and the Doges Palace from across the way is amazing

We always buy a vaporetto ticket for the week we are staying in Venice so I am not sure about the ruling on two separate trips. I my view it is probably just as cheap to buy a day ticket and you would be able to hop on and... More
