We took the vaporetto water bus from Piazzale Roma to St Mark's Square all along the Grand Canal and it did not disappoint. You will find that most hotels will sell you the tickets which are priced at 7 euros 50 cents and they are...More

I think the weather played a huge role in our horrible experience. It was very hot-high 90's, very crowded & very chaotic. It seemed like it would be an easy process. We bought the ticket, then waited in line, waited in line, got on the...More

We visited here on an overnight cruise stop and how lucky we were. It gave us the opportunity to take a vaporetto down the Grand Canal at sunset. The sights were magical, the atmosphere great and the cost amazing (7.5 Euros). Don't miss this one!

Love the city bus. We had a great time cruising the Grand Canal. Great, fun way to get around Venice.

If you get a multi day pass which includes a trip to/from the airport note that the airport transportation is a land bus not the water bus/vaporetto. This is pretty unclear and a bit misleading - at least the way it was sold to us....More

Nope, it's not the most comfortable means of transport in Venice > it can get really busy. But it's cheap and reliable. If you make sure you get the right boat to your destination you can't miss the beautiful sights of Venice. And you won't...More

A best way to travel around Venice and its islands, one-day or multi-day ticket is recommendable. Don't expect luxury as those boats are often overcrowded, but it is not something you need. Check routes carefully. Enjoy!

Like most forms of transport in Italy it works efficiently. Locals, tourists alike use this form of transport. It gets very busy. We bought a day ticket for approx €20 so we could visit the islands of Murano and Burano which worked out well for...More
