Beach is lovely, we stayed on the lido and going into the water after a day sight seeing was a great was to relax. The water is warm and the sea is not rocky or stony under foot.

In very hot summer day, Lido is best way to relax, the sea is clear and very hot. It`s very close to Venice by vaporetto.

Near place San Marco is the lido of Venise; there is an entrance to pay in Italy in the most beachs; all is very organised, also a very good restaurant on a nice terrace and a nice garden.

Hop on hop off tour, we bought a day ticket on the vaporetto and we stopped here for a short while, totally different to Venice, would be good to hire a bike and spend the afternoon here.

Yes, as Kitty, said take the Alilaguna Ferry, which goes direct to Lido. If you go to the Alilaguna website, they have a timetable and cost of fares.
