It was one the best Tiramisu we had. Just amazing ;) We've tried the classic one. You can eat it in or take away. Great stuff. This places goes beyond the tiramisu - you can buy chocolates, the pasta sauces, wines, bellini and other delicious ingredients ;) Highly recommended.

We went to this shop as part of a guided tour, our guide described it as the best shop in Venice for tiramisu, and she wasn't wrong it was delicious, you can even watch it being made. The rest of the shop also has some wonderful things, wines, oils, vinegars etc.. I would certainly recommend it. I bought some olive... More

Found this shop by accident. We were walking back from lunch and were in the mood for some dessert. So happy we stopped by as the dessert here is of excellent quality! Different flavours of tiramisu are available but we went for the classic - you can never go wrong with that. Ended up buying two bars of dark chocolate... More

I Tre Mercanti is a very nice little shop specializing in tiramisu. It is a fun challenge locating the shop, but well worth it. Yes - it is the best.

I love Italian tiramisu and came here after seeing the reviews. You can even watch them make it which is really cool. I must have had one that had been sitting for a while because it was a bit watery, but still delicious! I had the original, but they also offer many other interesting flavor combos. I definitely recommend popping... More

Staff is very welcoming, he explained us the way they do the tiramisu while a man was preparing them in live in front of us. We had the classic one and the Nutella one because I personally don't drink coffee but I have to admit the classic was the best. The Nutella one was too sweet for me and cocoa... More

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
