It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

A lovely Piazza in a great central location, closely located to the Torre dei Lamberti, Art Gallery, and many of the main churches. The architecture around the Piazza is stunning. There are loads of reasonably priced bars to enjoy an aperitivo and do some people watching.

And that's about it. Most of what is being sold here is cheap manufactured goods you can buy anywhere. The frescoes on the surrounding buildings are pretty interesting.

This is a very impressive square where you can drink a cup of coffee and watch people coming and going all day long.

Beautiful architecture with a variety of shops, restaurants and market stalls. Sit in the sun, have a drink and take on the scenery. Plenty of restaurants and snack bars, fountain, sculpture....

Nice area to hang out before an opera or concert in the Coliseum. Grab a drink or a bite! Plenty of choices for food, gelato, adult or non-adult beverages.

Shops lined the streets. There's a good amount of great coffee shops and restaurant in the area. I highly recommend it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This the main square, it is full nice restaurants. They are a bit pricey but you can sit in the terrace. We were lucky as it had a Xmas market

Wandering around Verona, you are sure to come here. Besides the market, the architecture and building frescoes are wonderful. Be sure to look up as you are perusing the stalls
