We were staying in a hotel very near Piazza Bra. The walk to this church took us about a half hour through lovely neighborhood and across the Adige river.

Unlike too many churches, particularly in Ferrara, this was mercifully spared any baroque embellishments.Wonderfully peaceful. The audio commentary takes you on a slightly erratic route, but pretty useful and free.. Nevertheless I would loved to have had an even better explanation of the doors -...More

We visited here on the 1st day. Staying at the Best Western Hotel Firenze after a morning arrival, we decided to store our bags and use their city map for a 4km circuit to see sights located to the northwest. We walked 700 meters north...More

Get ticket to visit four of the main churches of which San Zeno in one. A bit out of the way from the centre but worth seeing, particularly as they provide audio equipment which explains the frescos in details

The basilica isn't much from the outside but on the inside it is another thing. The place is really old and was destroyed generally in the 12 century and then rebuilt. It houses some fabulous frescos and you can hear all about them with the...More

Fascinating historical site of the remains of Saint Zeno. Chosen by Shakespeare as the wedding place of the I'll fated lovers.

San Zeno is one of Verona's finest treasures. It is beautifully maintained with cogent and quite easily understood commentaries on audio devices in several languages.

You have to walk a little out from the main historical area of Verona to find this church; it's well worth the effort. Beautifully clean and restored it's a stunning example of Romanesque architecture. The Mantegna altarpiece is wonderful. The headset tour is very good...More

When we visited there was a wedding taking place which made it more special. The church is very grand with fantastic paintings all around. There is also a downstairs where there is a tomb worth visiting.

Hi, you can find the ticket at the entrance and this include other churches too. The audio is inside the church, but you will find someone there very helpful. The tour is less than 1 hour but it worth. Enjoy it :)

At the entrance of the 4 historical churches of Verona there is a basket where you will find some kimono that you can put over naked shoulders or wear if you are dressed with pants or skirt too short. This is a free service.
