In the heart of the Valpolicella region, birthplace of legendary wines such as Amarone and Valpolicella, and minutes from the city of Verona and Lake Garda, the elegant complex of Villa Mosconi lies nestled in a pocket of untouched nature, bordered by wooded slopes and beautiful vineyards. This picturesque valley was known in Roman times for its wines, its cellars, and for its clear running waters which fed the ancient aqueduct of Verona. The villa itself claims a unique place of importance in the history of winemaking. It was in these cellars in 1936 that the name "Amarone" was given to what is now considered the most respected Veronese wines in the world.

If you have a car, you can call and book yourself. They are 4 different tasting with different wines. The chateau's visit was well done and clearly explained. The wine tasting was done in a private room together with another group. We tasted 4 wines, 2 white and 2 red. Lepia tenuta santa Maria , Torre pieve 2013, Valpolicela ripasso... More

We had an appointment at Bertani and were welcomed by a young clever girl who guided ten visitors around the Villa, the gardens and then the winery cellars before she prepared the wine tasting rooms for us and the "winemaker". He educated us in Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone production in a very clever and interesting way. All in all, the... More

Even though we didn't have an appointment, we were warmly entertained by the host and hostess and had the wine tasting. Then, we were taken around to see the villa and the gardens by Elena who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Really enjoyed the visit.

We had a carefully-choreographed afternoon for our one day of tasting in the Valpolicella region -- something we had been looking forward to for months. Our first tasting was at Mosconi Bertani at 2pm. We and about 10 other people got there. The young woman started the tour at 2 and took us out to the Villa, which was fine... More

This is a stunning locale for experiencing a truly authentic, Old World wine operation. The tour of the villa and grounds was outstanding and the wine tasting was very professionally presented. Excellent wine! We bought a case to ship home. Exceptional addition to our summer tour of Verona, Venice and Florence. It's a definite Don't Miss!

Visited here as part of a Veronality cycle & wine tasting tour (although storms meant we came by car!). Very enjoyable visit - were given a guided tour and wine tasting by all three members of the family. Beautiful villa & parkland and very informative about the wine making. Bought some of the Amarone wine & would have bought more... More

My husband and I hired a private guide to take us to this venue for a wine tasting and tour. It was well worth the price as we had a lovely time visiting this winery along with another and a small but beautiful little village, San Giorgio. Great wine and excellent tour guide at the villa. Wine tastings are either... More

We came here as part of a bike tour with Veronality Bike Tours ( http://tinyurl.com/veronality ) from Verona. The Villa is lovely, very stunning architecture, and the vineyards are extremely picturesque, and it was nice to get in the cool hills after the heat of Verona, The internal rooms in the villa are interesting , in particular the room of... We arrived out of the tour time but was attended to by the family and was extended a delightful tour by all members of the family. It was well worth the visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

A great morning activity. The villa is located in the picturesque Valpolicella Region (about 20 km north of Verona), surrounded by vineyards and gorgeous views. A visit combines a tour of the beautiful villa, wine cellars, garden and a lake as well as a wine tasting. Georgia, our guide, was very informative, attentive and nice. The tour itself lasted about... More
