Great escape

Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. When we visited on last Monday in August there was lots of parking available at midday on arrival but I noticed by 5pm, it was pretty full. 1 euro per hour in advance by auto machine and you can pay by card. Quite a few beach clubs offering umbrellas and beds from 5 euro... More

Good beach with nice sand. It does get quite busy. Need to bring own umbrella if possible if not there are lots of people selling it on the beach for €12-€15. A friend did mention they saw quite a few jelly fish in the sea but when we went, we didn't see any. So might need to be cautious. Children... More

The water at Le bombarde beach is so clean you are tempted to drink it! Just great blue sea and white sand, don't go on bank holidays though, far too much crowded.

The most beautiful, sparkling blue water, clean sand, not many people (at the beginning of June) and a great beach bar serving drinks, smoothies and food. This was the most beautiful beach we visited from Alghero! We arrived by taking the "beach bus" and then walking - even the walk down to the beach is breathtaking, seeing the water through... More

We discovered bombarde beach in the second half of our holiday and wished we had found it sooner! It is a beautiful large beach with soft golden sand and gorgeous clean, clear blue sea teeming with little fish... and the odd jelly fish. Usually we wouldn't go for large, crowded 'family beaches' preferring smaller quieter coves away from everybody...but we... More

Le bombarded is a great escape from the main beaches in Alghero. With a bicycle you reach the beach within no time. It's quite, clean an isolated from the worst tourist beaches. If you don't want to rent a bike or car the bus will take you there. I would recommend the bike though.

Clear blue sea like silk. Cool beach cafe. Fantastic kids play area with walking harness bridges. Easy bus service from town.

The beach itself is beautiful, sandy, and the water is crystal clear. It was very crowded, this is why not 5 points. We used the Beach Bus from Alghero.

A short bus ride from Alghero and popular with Italians and tourists. Peoples preferences vary and I prefer the beach a little further from Alghero at Mugoni. Tip - if you pick up the 'Beach Bus' from Alghero, you pay for a day (or multiple days at a discounted rate) and can get on and off at the various beaches... More

My husband and I fell in love with this beach. We took the Alghero beach bus from town to this beach nearly every day (only 5 euro per day and less if you purchase a 4 day pass). Unlike lazzaretto, bombarde does not have an extended stretch of rock slabs as you enter the water. There are some pebbles, but... More
