Our first trip to active volcano

It was our first trip to an active volcano, so it was an incredible experience for us, since we don't have anything like that at home. The plan and schedule of the trip was perfect, pick up in Catania, then drive to Etna, cable car, 4x4 bus and a short walk with great views of Etna and its surroundings. And the trip then continued, to the lava cave (not lava cake :-), to the old lava stream and to the farm with local products. Great trip with the great guidence ;-)

Very recommend! Salvo is great😉

Salvo pick we up right next the hotel for a half day tour to Etna. It was a great opportuiny to see this view and to hear about the history of the area. Salvo was great, make the trip to be fun, explain all about this area in Italien and English also. Very recommend!

I went on this with my friend and it was a wonderful experience. Simona was so pleasant and friendly, she ensured she talked us through each place we visited telling us about the history. She is extremely knowledgeable. She cared for us and even dropped us off at a nice bar. Visiting Mount Edna is an experience I would remember for a lifetime and Simona made it worthwhile. Thank you Simona. I totally recommend!!!!

My husband & I went on the Etna Sunset Tour with Salvo. It was amazing!! We enjoyed learning about the volcano from a local who lives nearby. This was an amazing tour & we highly recommend it for anyone visiting Catania!!

Great walk near Etna top

Salvo picked us at a gas station near Catania and drove up to the Funivia with us at 2000m. After going up to 2500m with the lift, we did a long walk in this lunar landscape which is the upper part of the Etna. It was great to be just three persons including the guide. We looked at several parts of the mountain and Salvo explained the different features.
After going down again by lift which is by far the best option as the mountain is quite steep and in some parts slippery with not much to see in the lower parts, we saw a lava cave like a tunnel in the ground forced by the hot lava. Then we did a wine and honey testing and finally we saw a lava field close to a house.

Great tour and guide!

Salvo was a great help when trying to organise a tour with our 7 year old daughter and was always very quick to respond to my queries on WhatsApp. His English is very good too, which was a big help.

He picked us up from our apartments in Naxos and drove us around some really interesting points of interest, he had great knowledge about Mount Etna and the local area.

I would really recommend a tour with Exclusive Etna Excursion, everything was really easy!

A wonderful experience

We had a wonderful time with Claudia. She was very knowledgeable and attentive and oriented to our children which drove their engagement and curiously. We had a blast and she was amazing.

Mount Etna was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Lucia was so informative and passionate. We felt completely at ease and feel we made a friend. We learnt a great deal about Mamma Etna and shared our Yorkshire English 🤣❤️.

Unforgettable visit to Etna

Our experience exploring Etna was beyond a simple guided tour, but a real discovery of this magnificent natural area. Claudia, our guide, is passionate and knowledgeable about the volcano and shared as many details on Etna’s history and activity as possible during the time we spent over there. From the reasons for the different colours of the stones and the vegetation, the shapes of the walls and ceilings in a cave, and the legends and stories built upon the volcano’s several eruptions, the whole experience made us look at Etna in a special way.
