The highlight of this tour is the host (and owner) because he brings a degree of passion to the tour that you generally don't get elsewhere. We felt that we had somehow had special treatment because it was just such a great experience. Having read all of the other reviews we now see that this is the same feeling everyone else gets, which we think is a fantastic credit to both the family and the incredible building.
If you like historic buildings, art, architecture, history or stories, take the tour you won't regret it.

The person who is accompanying the tour is the actual owner of the house, which definiyrlu contributed for the pleasant experience.

Absolutely lovely historical palazzo in the heart of Palermo. A tour through fascinating rooms guided by owner personally! Not to be missed during your stay in Palermo!

This beautiful palazzo is a must see when visiting Palermo! Me and my husband got a personal tour in Italian, French and English by the owner. We where amazed to see the beautiful rooms and artifacts that belong to the personal collection of the family that has lived there for over 300 years. Most amazing where the only certified templars ring in the world and a beautiful Rossetti painting. Also the paintings on the ceiling and plastering are very spectacular. A highlight of our holidays.

We made a special detour to return to this Palazzo which we had spotted at a time when we could not stop.

We talked to the reception who confirmed their hours.

We returned two hours before they were due to close, but it was all locked up.

Pretty poor customer service.

This was a lovely discovery in the heart of Arab-Norman Palermo, a stone's throw from the Cathedral. The palazzo was originally built in the 11th century apparently and developed in the centuries that followed. The current owner has lovingly restored the 18th and 19th century cieling frescoes and put on display an eclectic art collection comprising paintings, sculptures, ceramics as well as personal memorabilia dating back through his own family. He takes you on a personalised guided tour of the various rooms of the 'piano nobile' punctuated by historical and contemporary commentary. He is as full of character as the palazzo itself! An hour very well spent!

My party had the wonderful experience of being shown through this very impressive palazzo by the owner himself, who added so much with his anecdotes of past guests and family history. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour with a person of taste and distinction. I speak Italian but I am sure he is quite capable of enthralling all English speakers as well, and I understand his daughter also gives tours in English. Maintaining these beautiful noble old buildings is quite a responsibility and this family is doing everything they can to sustain a precious part of Palermo's history! Bravo!

When you are in Palermo, you have to visit Palazzo Drago, already a thrilling name, and once inside you can feel the rich history and culture of Palermo from the past. The owner takes care of the tour himself. He is charming, lively and heart-warming, a perfect host. The palace houses a beautiful collection of paintings and objects about which he can tell a personal anecdote. There is even a display case with personal belongings of Isadora Duncan. In short if you are in Palermo ... go there!

We chanced upon this Palazzo and were shown around by the owners daughter who spoke excellent English. It was fascinating to see - excellent condition. They are opening up as a B n B shortly. Her passion for her home and the wish to share with tourists and the city of Palermo was infectious. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely place with my husband and baby earlier this year. It is a beautiful space and definitely a must see when visiting Palermo. Giovanni, the owner who showed us through, is a very friendly and fun character to meet.
