Must visit!

Would give it seven stars if I could. If you go to only one museum in Palermo, do yourself a favor and make it this one!

I recently visited Stanze Genio and had a guided tour with a wonderful guide. I've never seen anything like this place and it will definitely be one of my strongest memories from Sicily. I think anyone would be thrown away by the story of this place, you don't have to be particularly interested in art or architecture to appreciate this.

A great place to visit if you are interested in architecture, design and art. We had a private tour of the museum (which is located in somebody's home) from a knowledgeable young man who spoke great English and was passionate about subject. Saw some beautiful collections. Would highly recommend if you are in Palermo.

This house is an hidden treasure in Palermo. Located in an anonymous building this house host more then 5000 piece of pottery square since the 1400s to the 1900s. All the pieces are classified and put in order, colors, shape and theme are very various. You'll be without words.

We were lucky enough that the guide at the personal residence/museum was just closing. He opened the museum for our group and provided an excellent explaination of the history and differences of the tiles in the collection. They would prefer that you make a reservation to see the tiles, since it is a private residence. The guide's passion and enthusiasuim... More

We arranged a visit to this fabulous collection of tiles from Southern Italy. All have been painted and b of back to the 15th century. Claudio met us at the door and took the 5 of us on an historical tour of the creation of these tiles. I never realized how much effort went into their construction. Claudio spoke excellent... More

A monument to the passion of one man, and the guides and assistants that have volunteered to help him, this museum is a beautiful experience. You have to call to book in advance (3803673773) and a guide with excellent English and a real enthusiasm for the project of the museum, will book you in. Palermo is chaotic, but this is... More

Even if tiles aren't your thing, come along to this. It's one man's collection of tiles gathered over decades that really shows off the art of tile-making in a country where this is a real art form. Ring first and book onto an English-speaking tour if your Italian isn't up to it and with luck you'll meet the enthusiastic and... More
