There's a huge Greek amphitheatre much as it must have looked after the first fix was completed 2000+ years ago, a huge quarry where Athenian prisoners were once corralled and now full of oleanders, bamboo and birdsong - the inexplicable and remarkably powerful Ear of...More

This is a gem covering thousands of years of archeological finds. But it is also a bit of a labyrinth of levels and sections. Worth getting the audio guide. Good to do if the weather outside is really hot

This a very good relic from the ancient past to explore and enjoy. Several areas are cordoned off, limiting a full tour of the expansive grounds. Unless you buy a book or get a personal guide, the audio guide it the best way to hear...More

The park in Syrakus has multiple impressive locations. We enjoyed exploring the theatres and park. Unfortunately little to no explanations and half the park is closed with no signs or obvious reason why. Little maintenance and almost no gardening in spite of 10€ entry.

Extensive ancient ruins of Greek and Roman theatres, temple, quarries etc. There were some signs which were partly in English but this could have been greatly expanded. Luckily we had a guidebook which covered the main points. There were QR barcodes in some places but...More

Hi Kristel, We walked from Ortygia, so I didn't really pay attention to street names and carparks. As you approach the park, you'll see the entrance to the park on one side of the road, and on the other, a large area with... More
