A highly interesting place with several interesting exhibits but with some effort as regards multilingual displays and a general clean up could be one of the most interesting and unique places in the area.

What a fun place to learn about some of Archimedes inventions which we take for granted today. Romona, the young guide is well educated & tells you so much about each invention. Also, at the end of the visit which lasts about an hour be...More

There were a lot of reconstructions of Archimides machines at a good scale to give a clear idea how they work.I liked the enthusiasm of the people there showing how everything works. I highly recommend it to families with children and amatour or professional enginners

With simple methods you go back in time and they show you many of the inventions and the brilliance of Archimedes. The enthusiasm of the guide reflected the love for science and the application of science. Sometimes an explanation of the guide was needed, but...More

There is a huge reason why the tourists are at the national park next door rather than here. It's small, the presentation of all the "inventions" are uninteresting. Mainly this is due to the fact that the audio guide included in the ticket price is...More

Dear visitor, the real reason why visitors are mostly at the archaeological park of the Neapolis is because it is a site of more popular public interest where there is the Greek theater and other attractions that have made the history of Syracuse Greek. The...More

I stumbled across this whilst wandering around the archeological site. It's another €6 but worth every cent IMHO. I had the place, and therefore the guide, to myself. I spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour learning about and trying out Archimedes inventions. I then had a...More

Don't want to write too bad a review as the staff were dedicated & pleasant. But we didn't find the park engaging, and the entrance fee of €6 juxtaposed with other Sicilian attraction prices made it extortionate, sorry. We visited as a couple, maybe better...More

Not more than a couple of km from the centre of Syracuse, if you didn't know it was there you would never find it. We saw an advertisement in one of the piazzas and decided to visit. The inventions and discoveries of Archimedes are a...More
