Francesca Oliva was an amazing host and gave our group such a knowledgeable tour of the operation ... all questions were answered . Her family started this operation back in 1957 and she is carrying on the tradition. We had an amazing three course lunch catered by a talented chef - all courses had roots to the area - a truly unforgetable afternoon... thank you Francesca and staff!!!…

Francesca Oliva did a great job of showing our group of travelers how olive oil is made at her family's mill, where farmers come from the area to have their olives milled as well. She then prepared an olive oil tasting that was wonderful. There were olive oils made from different olive cultivars as well as from the same olive cultivar and from different years. I highly recommend a visit.…

We took a tour at the farm of Francesca. It was amazing! She was really nice and friendly. The tour was really interesting and informative. At the tasting we had an opportunity to taste lemons and the oliven oil that Francesca and her company makes. It was really tasty. We tasted an incredible lemonade that was made of the lemons of the farm and some sicilian sweets as well. Francesca was really nice and friendly. She recommended us a lot of places to visit in the area. At the end we had the chance to buy some oliven oil from her. It was a really good trip! Highly recommended! :)…

Spent 8 days touring the island of Sicily with La Dolce Italia. After a long day siteseeing in Siracusa as we headed back to our hotel, we stopped at Azienda Agricola Oliva and had a personal tour of the groves and tasted the produce. Francesa and her mother put out a wonderful spread of food for us to taste. Everything was amazing, but best of all was the olive oil. We brought some home. This stop at a local farm was a perfect way to end our afternoon. Thanks Francesca for the hospitality!…

Francesca Oliva left Milan and NYC to help run her family agricultural business in Siracusa, Italy. I so enjoyed the walk we took by her lemon orchards and her description of what it takes to grow lemons. She is also undertaking the cultivation of olives, for which she has already won a prize for her bottling design and oil. She provided a tasting of a number of local products, including two different kinds of olive oil that were very distinct and tasty, for a small nominal fee. I would highly recommend a visit to her farm to get a sense of the the richness of agriculture in Sicily especially around the fertile valleys of Siracusa.…
