This was a great tour. I went on the "Winter Wine Tour" and we visited two smaller, organic wineries and they were each fantastic.

My wife and I thought it was fantastic. The gentleman who did the presentation at the second winery was so knowledgable we learned a lot. We have been home a week and haven't had anything but Italian wine. We both have problems with sulfites and haven't had an issue with it since. Although we have drunk Italian wine for years... More

The Winter Tour was simply spectacular. From the moment we entered their charming store/meeting place, we knew we had made the right decision. The tour bus was new, comfortable, and holds fewer people, so you do not feel like you are lost in the crowd. Your journey takes you through the beautiful country side while traveling to the different vineyards.... More

Had a great time with my daughter age 22!!! Enthusiastic, nice, and passionate people! Great wine, scenery, and olive oil! Lots of good Chianti wine!! Learned a lot. Charming Owner came by for second stop and let us taste unfinished white wine that was so fruity and goood!!! Had vegetarian option at second stop. Only suggestion: veggies and pasta were... More

We went to 3 different vineyards where you could tell the hosts there really cared about explaining the different wines to you and took pride in their creation. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and help novice wine drinkers like my wife and myself feel comfortable and have a lot of fun.

Absolutely loved this tour! Our first visit to Italy. Booked a few tours on our visit to Florence and Rome but this one ranked #1. A full day tour with an amazing tour guide, Mateo, who was so knowledgeable and friendly and spoke fluent English. We toured an amazing gelato shop... incredible! and a wonderful winery which served an amazing... More

My wife and I went on the Winter Wine Tour while on our honeymoon in Tuscany. It was a great day! Our guide, Ilaria, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us a lot about wine and about the Chianti region. The wineries we visited were gorgeous. The wine, of course, was fantastic, but we also had fresh cheese at one winery... More

Had a great experience on the Chianti Wine Tour with Katherine as our guide! She was extremely knowledgable about the tuscany wine region, very personable, and fun. I loved both vineyards that we went to so much so that we shipped wine back to NY from both. Had a delicious lunch at the crazy butchers restaurant, which was such an... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
