The grounds are extensive and have lots of sculptures and statues tucked here and there, but there was nothing particularly exciting. It was nice for a stroll, but I took very few pictures. We strolled down to the Isolotto (a lake with sculpture in it), but it just felt run down and dirty. There were not flowers blooming while we... More

The gardens are quite large and rather pretty, however they do seem to be not well taken care off. In Paris the gardens are beautiful, there are plenty of chairs to sit down and they are free. You have to be ready to walk a lot and there are a lot of hills.it was a tiring experience but good to... More

You need a good few hours in the gardens. When entering ask the ticket collector for a guide or map as they don't hand them out freely also find out when the grotto is open

Although there are many visitors the gardens are so vast and there are so many paths that as long as you don't follow the herd you can take a quiet stroll around these calming and tranquil gardens. There are limited flowering plants as it is more of a park than traditional flowering garden, but beautiful all the same. The paths... More

This garden is definitely worth a visit. It's a good place to get away from the crowds and relax for a bit among nature. It gives astounding views over Tuscany and the city of florence.

Being a garden lover, my wife insisted on visiting the Boboli gardens. The entrance fee includes a visit to the Costume and silver exhibition. The gardens, though, were a little disappointing despite their extraordinary location. Maybe it was the early spring time, but everything appeared a little untidy and I think one coud expect a little more upkeeping for 7... More

These are one of my favorite things to see in Florence. Hours of walking, beautiful gardens and sculptures, and a secret path at every turn. Take a picnic and enjoy the afternoon. Don't miss the ceramics museum at the top of the hill, the views are amazing!

Bobble Gardens is a wonderful place to visit to change the pace of art galleries and churches. The gardens are vast and there is plenty to look at. They are very beautiful and there are different statues and fountains to break up just looking at plants. Most of the gardens are wheelchair accessible though there are areas of big hills that... The gardens were just a collection of weeds as it hadn't been maintain or watered for ages so the grass was brown and full of weeds! They cover a very big area with not enough directions to know where to go or even exit and I wouldn't recommend it to people who have difficulty walking as they cover a very... More

Boboli Gardens is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. There are wonderful finds everywhere on the grounds as well as beautiful views to enjoy. But be warned, this is Italy and this may be opened or closed. I've shown up looking at the website where the gardens say "open now" only to have... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
