About
If you're a food lover, you can't miss this historic food market in Florence. As part of the San Lorenzo Market, this food market showcases some of Tuscany's finest products, from farm-fresh produce to cured meats and cheeses. Many travelers get truffle oil, honey, and aged balsamic vinegar for souvenirs—which you can try before buying. Swing upstairs to grab a quick lunch, and wander through the outdoor market for more shopping.

Look, not my scene, ut walked through a very busy food court here on the first floor. The diverse stalls looked well stocked, with fresh food and a variety of specialty meals on offer.

Just minutes from the center, this glorious place offers every Florentine ingredient you'd want and more.
We enjoyed browsing the stalls before heading to a cooking class and went back for supplies to hone our cooking skills.
Everything is fresh and fabulous.

A great market built on 2 levels: the lower selling products such as cheeses, wines, sausages, meat and more. The upper part is mainly food stalls and restaurants. A great and very tasty experience

What a place - so much to excite the senses - smell, sound, sight and all that fresh produce. Spread over two floors, the ground floor is devoted to almost all types of fruit and veg, meat, fish, cheese and breads you could wish for. The first floor is a gourmets paradise with fash food at both a reasonable price and the hardest thing is what to choose?
One from early as you might expect with it closed after lunch and preparations for the following day commences. Wander around and take in the ambience.

Love markets and this one exceeded expectations. Two floors - fresh produce on the ground and restaurants on the first. The hardest thing is what to choose. We had an amuse bouche at the superb wine corner - knowledgeable and accommodating hostess - then ate at the Pescaria. The food was excellent, the wine perfect and the arrangement of eateries with a central bar meant everyone could please themselves. The atmosphere is service-oriented, so you truly feel at home. Go early, scope the joint, then go grazing.

Hello,
Does anyone know that the Mercato Centrale Firenze opens everyday? As I got some info from other sources said it closes on Monday? Any feedback is much appreciated!

They have shorter hours this time of the year. From June to September, the hours are longer. Right now, they are open around 7am to 2pm Mon to Fri and up to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, they are close.
