If you can, get a place in the Centro Storico, pedestrians only, walking distance from just about everything you need to see, take walking shoes because of the lava cobbles. Its wonderful to walk out of your hotel and straight into history and eating places.

Staying in the centre of Florence the sights are unmissable. We were there for two days only long enough to scratch the surface. Wonderful buildings and statues.

Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity

brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
