I'm not sure if it was just the night we visited, but the ambiance was not cozy or nice. They were playing very loud metal music and the clientele was questionable. But hey, the beer was good.

If you feel like a change from the Birra Morretti, Peroni, etc that are prevalent in most Italian cities, then the Joshua Tree is the place to visit. Multiple good beers from across Europe, really good atmosphere in the bar and in our last night...More

Sometimes you need a break from all the wine and dine, sit back relax and enjoy a good drink while listening to a great soundtrack. Forget the tourists you've been bumping into, the overpriced meals you've been paying for and the heat!

We stayed just around the corner from this little gem. It quickly became my husband's favorite place to end the night after site-seeing and dinner.

A literal dive bar with the most unpleasant toilets I visited in our whole Italy trip. However they make the drinks strong, so depends on how tough your constitution is.

Typically cosy and basic Irish themed bar with a few televisions to watch sport. Bar staff are friendly, good choice of beers and best of all was the cheapest place I could find in Florence. Free wifi which is standard in most places now.

During the soccer final (Portugal vs France) this place was wonderful. It's everything I want in a small local bar. Friendly people and reasonable drink prices with good selection. Staff friendly!

Popped in about midnight on a Friday night when I was staying at a nearby hotel. Lively atmosphere with some guy playing solo on an acoustic guitar, and nice mix of patrons. A pleasant surprise, considering the street I itself is not very promising as...More

Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the
majority of the people arriving in Florence, which
might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists
come across the constant hustle and bustle of the
station before exiting, taking a few steps and
stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It
is impossible not to admire the the square, housing
one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
