If you are visiting Piazzale Michelangelo, you will likely see this Torre from the terraces. It looked interesting enough to walk to on my way out.

It's open only between June and September, from 5 to 8 pm and is definitely worth the visit. You get to know the history of the Florence walls built in the Middle Ages and have the chance to make beautiful photographs of Duomo and Palazzo...More

The Torre di San Niccolo is located across the Arno River on Piazza Poggi. If you climb to the top you get nice views of the city.

Very simple tower and has nothing special architecturally. Doesn't with the visit at all. Better to save time for something more valuable.

I loved this place. Old Historic Defense Tower, what's not to love. Really gives you a feel of life in the renaissance period, with these towers. It also was even more special after seeing so many in the Assassins Creed game.

up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic
viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an
elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and
breathtaking view of the entire city from above.
