We took a late afternoon river cruise down the Arno River June 2018. The late cruise was supposed to include a glass of prosecco and “appetizers.” The cruise was pleasant and our guide was knowledgeable of the surroundings. The extra money we paid for this...More

We love walking along the Arno River... Why? First, because you can get away from insane crowds... Second, because you can enjoy the best views of Ponte Vecchio, facades of gorgeous palaces on both sides of the river, and cross the bridges to the neighborhoods...More

The river is very dirty and it is better to observe it from afar, so it seems a lot more beautiful. The water in the river is dirty brown, no one is swimming in it, and the river is not ship boat. Beautifully look all...More

The Arno is mostly associated with Florence but it also flows through Pisa. You can walk along the banks beside some grand houses. There is a path on both sides of the river but you are walking along side a busy road.

Taking a stroll along the Arno River is relaxing and allows you time for reflection. Whether during the day or night there are always people hustling along.

You must walk along the Arno to really get the flavor of this beautiful city. And, standing back, looking towards the Ponte Vecchio is one of the iconic photo shots to have in your travelogue. And it’s even more beautiful taken at night.

I highly recommend a stroll after dark. Get a gelato and take your time walking along the river, glistening with lights. Especially with a loved one.

Swarms of picture-takers all day and all night. A real centre of Florence attractions. A massive gentle flow of murky water.

A significant part of Florence's soul is found in this wide river that runs straight through the city and share the center a little in two parts. There are hardly any natural river banks without high stone walls on both sides of the water, which...More

Take the time to walk along the river in the early morning - great light and few people. Keep the sun behind you for the best pics

The park area to the west of the city would provide you with walks along the river. Other pavements running through the city are very narrow and difficult to walk along especially with roads right next to you.
