A decent selection of goods, some stalls have similar goods and some stalls have bags of lesser quality. Inspect the bags, not only the leather but the clasps and construction, and be prepared to haggle. You can usually at least get some smaller leather souvenirs...More

The ladies love to browse. If your a guy and have no interest in browsing, wander over to the wild hog. The best part of this attraction is watching knuckleheads run the nose and take pictures. BTW, the oriinal sculpture is in the Uffizi.

Mercato Nuovo is just another one of those "exciting" markets where you walk around mindlessly for an extended period of time, either out of curiosity, or perhaps looking for a bargain, which ends up being a disaster.... You get the drift!!!

Don't seek this out but it's worth a look if you are passing nearby. Very disappointed to see that not all the goods were Italian made leather, in my opinion bags were over priced, and all the stalls were offering the same goods. I bought...More

This market located close to Piazza della Signoria is mainly just a tourist trap with each stall selling the same items with none to very small variations, bags, scarfs and other souvenirs. Look for better deals away from here.
