Looking for a nice "stroll in the park" we ventured 2km north along the Arno from the Duomo to Cascine Park in search of some green space and fresh oxygen to fill our lungs. What we found was quite astonishing. Yes, this park offers greenery....More

We were in Florence for a few days with our children (7 and 4 years) and looked for a playground so they could let off steam between culture doses. This park looked promising online. Our first stop was Buoneria, which was nice, but we found...More

Had a stroll through the park and spent a few hours at the public pool. The park is lovely although things were very dry due to the heat. The pool was very busy but had an enjoyable swim. Word of warning ⚠ remember to bring...More

A very beautiful park. Lots of greenery. There are set play areas for children which are nice too. Free water fountains are very handy. There are also a few areas that have workout stations which are well maintained.

The Le Cascine is a large park that runs along the River Arno in Florence. I enjoyed the jogging opportunities and running in the park.

I had a quick visit while staying in Florence. The park is large but rather narrow and runs alongside the River Arno. Not many tourists about in the area and its only a 10 minute walk from the busy city centre. Most users tend to...More

I've come to run here many times or simply to take a long walk. It's not a particularly well kept park, but you can get away from traffic and tourists. Mostly there are locals walking their dogs and the occasional jogger. There's a market there,...More

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the
majority of the people arriving in Florence, which
might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists
come across the constant hustle and bustle of the
station before exiting, taking a few steps and
stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It
is impossible not to admire the the square, housing
one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
