My fiancé and I had a wonderful time at the "Wine Time" tour, where we visited 3 wineries and tasted 10 different wines. Our guide Caterina was extremely knowledgeable about wines and taught us how to be our own wine tasters. The last winery included a lunch, which included homemade pasta. It was the best meal that we have had... More

We booked the Chianti Classico winery tour online the night before the tour. The booking process was simple and we had no issues. The tour was a small group of ~15 transported on a small, comfortable bus. The tour was led by Catarina who taught us how to taste wine and provided a wealth of information about Italian wine, focussing... More

This well organized tour lead by Caterina was informative and fun. She was personable and easy to ask questions about wine and other topics. The three wineries were very prepared for our visit and we learned about how the wine is stored, how to taste wine and how to tell if it is good wine. The last stop was lunch... More

This wine tour was outstanding!!! While it is technically considered a "half day" tour - it provided us with plenty of time to see three different wineries and taste both wines and olive oils at each one. We also enjoyed a light pasta lunch at the third winery. Adrienne, our guide, was excellent - she was very sweet and knowledgeable... More

6 of my family members went to 3 vineyards in Chianti Classico. We all had a wonderful time. Katerina was friendly, informative and lovely to everyone on the tour. We had a great time, tasted some wonderful wines and were provided with a fantastic lunch (with various and complicated accommodations for food sensitivities). I would recommend this tour to anyone.... More

If visiting Toscany and sampling the wine in grand fashion is in your bucket list, you must go with this tour operator! We felt like we were the only ones in the tour. Nothing but excellent to say.

We loved our Wine Time tour with Adrienne. The 3 vineyards had amazing staff and there is no pressure to purchase (although we did from all 3 because it was so good!). The tour group gets to socialize and by the end of the 5.5 hour tour we had made some new friends! $ is well worth it if you... More

We had a fun an educational experience on the Grape Tour. Our guide, Caterina, is not only a very nice guide, but she is a professionally trained sommelier. We learned a great deal about Chianti, Chianti Classico, and super Tuscans and toured 3 wonderful wineries of differing sizes. The wines were wonderful and the group was pretty giddy by the... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
