This small shop still binds books and makes marble paper by hand. The front of the shop has a lovely selection of books, journals, frames, paper etc and you can see the artists in the back creating the items (printing the paper, sewing the bindings). It is an exquisite shop and a marvelous opportunity to see true craftsmen at work.

Beautiful book and stationary, the man working there was really lovely. The two doggos wondering around are a bonus too!

People were amazing and product was perfect! As soon as we walked in the door the owner greeted us and showed us around. They make their own paper and the paper is amazing!

I knew Florence was well known for it's textiles, so I was on the lookout for a nice stationary shop. So happy to chance by this one when we were walking around during our holiday in August. Great for gifts for those back at home, but I also recommend getting some frames or scrapbooks for yourself to stick photos/memorabilia in... More

One of the stationary stores you would love to visit if you like Florentine papers and leather books. It is a bookbinder store and they actually bind books in the back. The papers are all original and are used for boxes, notebooks, pencils just to name a few. Great for gifts.

A pleasure to visit such a special place, the paper goods and journals were of a quality that I doubt anyone could fine elsewhere in the world. Both brother and sister run the business and each has their own skills and dedication to providing a wonderful array of products. Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent inside, thanks

This place is fantastic. We were able to purchase and personalize leather writing journals for ourselves and family... either refillable or with paper permanently stiched inside. We watched as they personalized (with gold leaf embossing), leather keychains for all of our family (12 euros each). Very friendly family run business, they welcomed us into the back workroom to watch the... More

This shop specialises in book-binding, this was the original function of the premises and the family team have developed this skill throughout the generations since 1908. Naturally the shop has developed into other skills but these continue to be artistic and everything is still made by hand. The shop is worth visiting just to see the craftsmen at work but... More

Customer service here is excellent and when we chose our album great care was taken to securely wrap the album so that we could travel back with it .... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
