Palazzo Pitti is yet another must to visit in Florence. It houses wonderful collections that can address any field of interest from archaeology to jewelry. It doesn't get as crowded as the Uffizi but nevertheless buy your ticket in advance. You have to queue up...More

The most important museum in the Pitti Palace is the Palatine Gallery. It is filled with works of art, mainly pictures and statues. Also, the apartments of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany can be visited (including the room of the throne and the bedchamber of...More

Although the gallery has less known and important works, the works are excellent and I enjoyed what. Recommended for art lovers

The Sala della Stufa in the Pitti Palace is a small room whose walls are covered by Cortona frescoes, The Ages of Man. They are close up and at eye level, unlike the ones he did in the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, which are just...More

The Pitti Palace is quintessentially Italian; some rooms are so crammed with paintings it's dizzying but somehow it works. The Uffizi seems very proper, whereas the Pitti's sumptuous (if gloomy) salons and bedrooms make it easy to visualise its former inhabitants.

I was quite disappointed with this gallery. Very dark and not inspiring at all. After the Uffizi it wasn't that compelling. If short of time in Florence, don't bother.

Bring comfortable walking shoes. The artwork and architecture are really worth a visit! If you can make it to the top of the gardens, do it. You won't regret it ;)

Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and
history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti
Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces
visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli
Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues,
fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the
garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History
of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through

I am not sure. Please look online at the primary attraction. If you plan to see more things please look at the city pass as the easy access to most events was also a great perk!
