My daughter is an opera fan & classical singer so this was a must on our visit to Lucca. Frankly it was a little disappointing. The rooms are nicely set up with a few pieces of furniture from the period & there are cases of old scores, photos & letters to & from Puccini....some of them had been translated into... More

Lucca is a charming walled city with Puccini Home/Museum. From Florence (Firenze SMN station), you can have a pleasant half-day excursion to Lucca by train. Round trip train fare for an adult is only € 15.00. The train tickets can be easily purchased even via online in advance if you want to avoid currency conversion. Online ticket purchase requires you... More

Great to have visited the home of one of the last great composers. A good insight to the man and his works.

House-museum where Puccini was born worth visiting. The rooms are well preserved, the furniture also. Even before reaching the entrance felt like something I shudder: it was like a statue of the master Puccini and a aria from Tosca and is ringing in my ears!

My wife is musician, so when we came to Lucca, visit of Casa Puccini was compulsory. There are lot of original things which were used by Puccini, even piano which he played to write Turandot opera.

Opera composer Giacomo Puccini was born in this appealing apartment in a quiet corner of the city. The apartment has been recently renovated and furnished with memorabilia from Puccini's life and career -- photographs, letters, musical scores, even costumes from many of his operas. Puccini is Lucca's most illustrious son, and touring this small museum not only gives you insight... More

Puccini was such an important person to Lucca that you just have to visit his childhood home. If you do not know much about Puccini, go learn some great facts about this very talented man. The museum is a nice collection of items and information. Also, be sure to attend one of the Puccini concerts that are offered in a... More

The Puccini museum is also the birthplace of the great composer and one can even see the bed he was born in. Fascinating!
