This is a sweet museum that gives a glimpse into the master's life. We enjoyed each room, the dioramas were instructive, and the building was charming. Almost best of all was the receptionist in the museum. He was so enthusiastic, with comments like, "Wait till...More

This house contains his piano, original compositions, correspondence, photos, wardrobes from premier performances of operas, and original posters announcing performances. Period furniture although not Puccini's is still interesting in context. I believe that enough material is presented to give the visitor a glimpse into Puccini's...More

I am not an opera fan but very much enjoyed the Puccini Museum. Very good descriptions of both the exhibits and Puccini's life and work. Best of all is the recreation of the study where he composed his work. Accessing the museum is a bit...More

On Saturday at midday there is the guided tour in Italian, Matteo was fantastic, it lasted about 1.5 hours, it was a tour-de-force, not at all boring. After it we understood the life of the the Maestro and it was very fascinating, it is privately...More

Really enjoyed looking around this museum. Lots of manuscripts, pictures, etc.. and as you go round there is some of Puccini's most famous arias playing. Highly atmospheric and a must visit for anyone who loves music.

My daughter is an opera fan & classical singer so this was a must on our visit to Lucca. Frankly it was a little disappointing. The rooms are nicely set up with a few pieces of furniture from the period & there are cases of...More

Janet C
anyone recall what the museum's hours were? I have an opera singer in my family but we have only 24 hours in Lucca, hoping to fit it in and may work if they are open early enough:)
