Stunning is how to describe this wonder Cathedral. If you visit the old walled town then you will see this church and many other fine buildings, all within walking distance. Just avoid early November when the Lucca Comic and Games festival is held every year....More

Beautiful marble church with ornate detail in the architecture. Many statues on the exterior, as well as decorated cornices, circles, etc. Quite ornate and looks lovely in the square/piazza. Free to enter the interior, which was not as striking as the outside.

Lucca is a very quiet place on a Monday morning in October. This church in the piazza is more ornate inside that the marble exterior portrays.

Loved this area both for the piazza and the architecture of this cathedral. Saw the festival of lights in mid-September and it was stunning to see it all by candle light.
