The Piazza dei Miracoli is absolutely beautiful, regardless the weather and the time of the day or year. All the buildings there are having it own spirit. You should take time and visit all parts of this market ant take a big breath, not just go directly to leaning tower.

Veni, vidi, departure. Simpliest way to be there is just go and see the buildings and the Duomo which is free entrance. If you are not fan or specific historical, architecture etc issue, then you can be there without spending any money. Nice clean place where to enjoy master class of building of specific time period.

If you are staying in Pisa I recommend going there in the early morning. We went there in mid and late afternoon and it was packed with thousands of tourists. WE went again in the Moring around 9am and there was us and only a handful other people around.

The Piazza dei Miracoli is absolutely beautiful, even on a cold, rainy day as it was on our last visit. The contrasts between the buildings (the campanile, the baptismal, the cathedral and the cloisters) versus the wild open green spaces is really breathtaking. Obviously, there is the leaning tower, but the square is so much more. Make sure to book... More

Great place to take a walk, get some ice cream and watch other tourists taking funny pictures trying to hold the famous Torre di Pisa.

I was here for 3 times and I still love it. The place is usualy crowded but in sunset when there is no tourist groups you can enjoy the place. I was there in the grass reading my book but the sprinkels came on so I had to leave. I do have to say I'm not quite a judge here... More
