First, I would say the service was excellent and the owner pleasant enough. I wanted a bottle of Brunello for the evening. I brought some mid priced Brunello bottles to the owner’s attention. I asked him which he recommended. I was surprised he actually chose the less expensive one, but I accepted the recommendation and made the purchase. It was a poor Brunello, truly tasted bad and had none of that rich flavor after letting it breathe for some time. It would have been fine if he directed me to a completely different bottle. I just wouldn’t go back.

This small enoteca in via Stalloreggi is just a little way up the hill on the left from the bus stop in Piazza di Postierla. It is not always open but when not has a sign of how to contact the owner. It is small and narrow but stacked with a lot of good bottles of Tuscan and other Italian wines. I have gone here a number of times over the last couple of years when seeking a good bottle of wine as a gift. The proprietor is very friendly.

It's small but cosy and lovely wine store. Aimone doesn't know English but he is so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. So we bought our first Brunello di Montalcino babies (Biondi Santi, Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona etc.). See you next time Aimone Molto gentile, grazie.

Amazing food and service! The kitchen was already closing for an afternoon break but the staff was kind enough to let us order food. Very happy with the service and food was delicious as well.
