Steep walk! Lots of stairs. .but worth it.

The history is just unbelievable. ..like a movie. ..it doesn't seem like this could have been real! Amazing.

Nice road "hike" up to the fort and quick visit but worth the entry fee - though the views are lovely from outside the fort as well

It is a lovely, if pretty steep, walk out of Assisi through interesting and picturesque little streets with lots of olive trees over the walls At the top the views are just stupendous. Firstly over the roof tops of this attractive town and for many miles beyond across the Umbrian countryside

We didn't go inside, but wow - the view of the entire town of Assisi is spectacular from the grounds. If you have time, and can walk up - please do so - you will be glad you did.

Enjoy the climb to this spot. Great view and the walk up through the lovely street are a must. We didn't enter into the tower as we were told it wasn't necessary and they charge.

It's quite a climb, but it was not so hard even though I got one bad knee. The view up there is unreal and very nice. To visit inside the castle, you have to pay some fee, but going around seeing the view for free is not bad at all. Highly recommend.

This is a must visit when you are at Assisi. Go to the top of the castle to appreciate the amazing beauty of Assisi. The castle itself is a beauty.

We started the walk uphill just after breakfast in the early morning. There was simply nobody on the way to the top and we were also completely alone at the top of the Rocca. I presume that most people visit the Rocca in the afternoon. So come in the morning to enjoy a perfect stay at the top. The views... More

This is on top of a hill at one end of Assisi. It cost us €5.50 each to go in but was definitely worth it just for the views, afar and over looking Assisi. There are 3 towers to climb up using spiral staircases so good shoes would be better as the steps were not very big. You also get... More

A short up hill walk and 5Euro to enter. Lots of spiral stairs but worth the time. Amazing views from the end tower accessed buy a long, narrow tunnel. Lots of examples of historical tools, armour and costumes scattered throughout the rooms.
