I liked the architecture, the history, the religious and spiritual atmosphere, the art and the surrounding areas. I chose to visit Assisi off season because I don't like crowded and noisy places. I am glad I did that.

Fabulous experience and so lucky to have arrived just before Mass started, so we had the whole experience of that in this very special place of Christianity.

A must see. The lower basilica walls fresco's are memorable, the upper is equally impressive. Tranquil & spiritual memories

A beautiful testament to St. Francis. The tomb downstairs is very spiritual. I can see why this has been a sight of pilgrimage for centuries.

A little bit of a walk from the centre of town. Lots of hills and a great view of the Italian countryside. Rich with history and a great overall experience.

Being here is something special, this is not only a church, but a kind of museum, an exhibition of works of art as often happens in most of the Italian churches. Place truly magical and absolutely a good reason to visit one of the UNESCO...More
