Not to be missed: Where the history of Gubbio was written
Sep 2021
A building from the Gothic style that stands out in a beautiful square. Here they are guarded the important "Tavole eugubine", a very important document of the history of Umbria.

Interesting building
Jun 2021
The art collection is not that impressive and the only thing worthy of note are the Tables. But the visit is mainly to visit the palace which is quite interesting for its time.

A holiday in winter
Dec 2019
A wide square with a wonderful view on the valley. On the other side there is the green mountain. But the best is the "Palazzo dei Consoli". The building was a example of medieval architectural with a lot of stairs and some secret passages, The Museum exhibition has a lot of paintings from 15° and 16° century. Furthermore there are seven rare tables (Tavole eugubine) written in part with an old language more ancient than latin and part with "Etruscan language" engraved one century b.C.

Don’t miss this
Sep 2019 • Couples
We paid 7 Euros a person to see an art/medieval exhibit and it was absolutely incredible. I’d pay 7 Euros just to walk through the place. Lots of stairs but breathtaking. Don’t miss this Incredible city views from the top of the tower

It's not hugely expensive to get in, you get some wonderful views from the balcony. There are some lovely pieces of artwork and ceramics and the beautiful Iguvine Tablets

Stairs, stairs, stairs
Mar 2019 • Couples
An amazing museum. Houses Umbrian writings on copper tablets dating back 2000 years, describing agricultural rituals. Also pottery and methods describing the composition of the dyes used for decorating it, a variety of frescos and artifacts. Warning: be prepared to CLIMB STAIRS. Lots of stairs. At the top you will have an amazing view of the Piazza Grande and surroundings.

Gorgeous medieval building
Mar 2019 • Friends
Gorgeous medieval building which dominates Palazzo Grande. The view of Gubbio and the surrounding countryside is fantastic. Only later from below did I realise what an incredible feat of construction the building is, as it extends deep below the level of the square.

A must see
Aug 2018 • Friends
A must see when in Gubbio. Located on the main square it offers multiple exhibitions of local art. The building itself is stunning. The cloak tower has a mechanism that tells time every 15 minutes. The main bell is used to celebrate great occasions in the city

The view from the loggia and all the rest!
Oct 2018 • Friends
Located in the amazing P Grande, this building is worth a serious 1-2 hours, both inside and outside. Start inside, and go through every room, to take a quick look at the collection on display, while focusing on the building features - the size of the rooms, the tables made from only one piece of wood, the secret corridors and steep staircases... a few of the medieval paintings, the third floor after the climb rewards w an amazing view of the valley. Don’t miss the extraordinary seven bronze tablets dating from 3rd to first century BCE, on a par with the Rosetta Stone. Then take time to fully walk around the outside and appreciate the engineering and building ingenuity, integrated into the supporting structure for the Piazza itself.
