If you don't do anything else this is a must visit, truly amazing fresco's it seemed every inch of the walls and ceilings were covered and you don't have to be religious to gasp at this awe inspiring site.

There is a cable car up to this Basillica. You still must walk a bit further up to get there. It was worth the climb. But I could not have climbed the whole way, the cable car made our visit possible.

Gorgeous church and home of the 3 Cheri's from the festival in May of each year. The views are absolutely stunning from the door of the Basilica. Do not miss an opportunity to visit.

A visit to Gubbio without going up to the Basilica of Sant' Ubaldo is just wrong. The Basilica, along with the museum upstairs tells the history of both Sant' Ubaldo and the Festa dei Ceri... And the view from there is nothing short of amazing.

After a trip up the mountain on the funivia, this church is definitely worth a look for its stained glass alone. The panels depict scenes from the life of St Ubaldo - the patron saint of Gubbio - whose mummified remains lie in a glass...More

We visited after enjoying a ride on the funicular. The Basilica is so beautiful. The stained glass windows are spectacular. The Ceri are kept here. This is a very special place.
