This is the main avenue that runs through old Perugia. It’s essentially a pedestrian street. Lining the street are lovely old buildings. Museums, a cathedral, government offices and former palazzos are just some of the wonderful architectural buildings that you will see. There are cafes, restaurants and shops one can linger and spend time enjoying. Be sure the explore the narrow side streets just off the Vannucci.

Wonderful for "una passeggiata" (a stroll)
Jul 2019 • Solo
Corso Vanucci is named for one of Perugia's most beloved artists - Pietro Vanucci. The broad avenue travels from Piazza IV Novembre to Piazza Italia. It's lined with boutiques, cafes, and shops. In the warmer months the street features outdoor seating for the many restaurants that are tucked in the lanes that branch off of it. Corso Vanucci is THE place where locals and tourists alike love to take an evening stroll.

Caffè Blu in Corso Vannucci
May 2019 • Couples
After you have explored this amazing ancient city, you will need to take a break. We finally saw the sun for the first time and sat outside this caffè in the Corso Vannucci and had a cappuccino and a very nice Contadino panini. We parked in the Parcheggio Pellini and took two sets of escalators up into the old city. What a sophisticated way of accessing a hilltop city!

Cordova Vannucci, named after Perugia’s most famous son, the Renaissance artist known as Perigino, is a truly beautiful main drag, fully pedestrianized

An amazing ancient city
Aug 2018
Perugia is stunning. The historical centre with magnificent buildings, churches and shops full beautiful clothes, shoes, ceramics, jewellery, everything you can imagine. Little narrow lanes that twist and turn, leading you to all sorts of views and ancient apartments, wells and little squares. The food is delicious, truffles, famous Perugina chocolates, ice cream, pastries etc. etc. A must see...

Lovely street to walk
May 2018 • Friends
We walked almost the entire length of this major street through Perugia. Loaded with shops, restaurants and city buildings that make the town interesting. It was quite crowded when we were there but it gives energy to the place so I enjoyed it.

Wander Perugia
Oct 2017 • Couples
We wandered Perugia and walked the many streets shopping, people watching and enjoying wine and appetizers. Corso Vannucci is a nice walk to experience the flavor and the atmosphere of the Umbrian city of Perugia especially at night
