This is an actual working paper mill where you can see how paper is made and learn about the history of paper, printing, books etc. Very interesting and good for children with hands-on activities.

The museum is educational and enjoyable with lots to see and opportunities to try out various paper making and printing processes. It's helpful that explanation boards are provided in both English and German. Admission is half price with a Basel travel card.

Who knew that there was a paper museum? I thoroughly enjoyed making my own paper with watermark, coloring a piece of paper, creating origami and learning new facts about paper. This is a great place to visit for people of all ages.
