These ferries are a must on a nice weather day. The method of operation is unique in this century, & watching folk enjoy the Rhine River at eye level is fun & relaxing- a memorable vacation experience.

Is is very pleasent if the weather is good or at least not too windy . In summer you can buy a bag taht is a floating devise and let the current takes you ! a great experience .

The ferry in Basel runs every day (365 days/year) 9am to 8pm in summertime 11am to 5pm in wintertime

Yes you can take a pram. You may want to sit closer to the cabin for shade, and its rarely windy to the point that water splashes on deck.
