A must see for those interested in old churches

Europe is filled with old churches. This is one in Switzerland that while in Bern should be visited. No admission, definitely worthwhile to visit.

The most interesting thing about this church is the outside. Inside the church has some stained glass windows. The alter is being remodeled. There is not much to see inside and other churches in Europe are more interesting.

Beautiful Cathedral. We only viewed from outside, but it is well worth the stop by to see along your tour of Old Town

This cathedral is unique. The facade of the building is really grand and the carving is really intricate. Inside the building boasts some of the most beautiful stained glass that I have ever seen. If you have money to spare, you can climb the steps to the top of the amazing cathedral for CHF 6.00. It's definitely worth the money... More

The cathedral has nothing special, but the fronton at the main gate. Good view of the city from the top of the tower bell.

Unlike its Catholic equivalents, the inside of the Munster is very austere although it boasts some beautiful stained glass. The exterior is stunning with amazingly detailed carvings above the main entrance.

If you have been to other European Cathedrals, you will notice how bare and minimal the inside of this cathedral is. On a glance it might not even appear to be worth a visit compared to the splendor and brilliance of other cathedrals. Yet, the true story here is driven by what is NOT here. According to multiple sources including... More
