Lovely sqaure in the center of old town

It is absolutely worth to pass by there while exploring the old town. Lovely square with nice little boutiques, restaurants and bars.

Beautiful, but It has not a lot to do. It is worthy if you have time, if not, don't put it in your list.

Place Bourg de Four is a must in Geneva. Every year the Escalade celebrations take place here, in the historical heart of the city. The Palais de Justice is also right here. The square is lined with bars, restaurants and specialty shops. Have a coffee, a drink or a lively meal. Lots of options to choose from. The Caran d'ache... More

We walked to Place Bourg du Four the first time we visited it during our trip to Gevena in Dec 2016. We then discovered there is a local small Bus No. 36 which runs up to and all around Old Town with several bus stops in the area at different places of interest. Place Bourg de Four is a lovely... When everything is closed on Sunday, this place is the best place to find a hot chocolate and to people watch.

We went to the centre of the old town, which gave us a look at the architecture of the time. We were also there today when the L'Escalade was on with the enactment of the 1602 defeat of the Duke of Savoy in the square with canons blazing and muskets firing.

Good place to have a coffee. This plaza is surrounded by 16th century houses and a 18th century fountain. Walk from here to visit the Hotel de Ville, where the Geneva Convention was signed, Maison Tavel, oldest house in Geneva, Cathedral St. Pierre, stroll on the promenade

My daughter pointed out that the fascination of Geneva is partly that it is built on several levels. This place is a beautiful position from which you can appreciate this perspective.
