Overview
More
Located on the first floor of the MRL, the audiovisual itinerary enables visitors to trace the life and works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau in the actual house where he was born on June 28 in 1712. The itinerary subtly synchronizes sound and image and showcases the journey of this famous citizen of Geneva, writer, philosopher of the Enlightenment and musician. Through extracts of his literary and musical works, the audiovisual itinerary brings Rousseau to life and enables the visitor to discover the multiple facets of the author of The Social Contract, The Confessions and The New Heloise.

This is a very cleverly orchestrated walk through Rousseau's life. Simple, informative, and technologically enhanced experience.

Set in the actual birthplace of Jean Jacques Rousseau, this small house museum provides a 25-minute, self-guided, audio-visual tour documenting the life and works of the influential Swiss philosopher. It offers a brief but compelling overview, setting his contributions within the context of his life...More

Espace Rousseau in Geneva provides a wonderful opportunity to acquaint one with the not very well-known 18th Century philosopher, writer and composer, Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The museum is Rousseau's birthplace, and provides multi-lingual audiovisual guides to better explain the exhibits. Some of his works are also...More
