Great skiing area, which is very widespread and all connected by lifts. This makes it ideal to go skiing for a day and never hit the same slope twice. Compared to Austrian resorts; the lift infrastructure is a bit 'outdated' in the French parts (Swiss part eg Morgins is slightly 'newer') with a lot of tow lifts. The slope restaurant... More

This is the biggest skiing area in Europe. We skied a week without repeating the same slope too many times. There are some challenging "cross" slopes which are less crowded than the normal ones. Some of the black slopes were closed. (the steepest slope is here)

I have skied extensively in Europe and this is by far the best area. You can get everywhere from Morzine and can ski over into Switzerland for some of the best runs. Get up high if you can but be aware lifts shut on very windy days so don't get stuck! Can get busy so avoid half term and French... More

March 5th, at midday we board the lift Expresse Mosette. I now know (internet searches) that it is the second longest chair lift in Ported de Soleil over 2 km long and a crucial link between the French and Swiss side of the skiing area. It's full capacity is 160 people. After about 5-7 minutes the lift stops and does... More

Have been skiing here for last 5 years and love it. Great variety of skiing to suit all. Good value and big enough to escape the crowds. We usually stay in Chatel.

Just had a wonderful family skiing holiday. Great facilities for the non skier including a pristine olympic swimming pool in Morzine and lots of options for snow shoeing

It is a quite place for snowing....The main problem are the lifts! You need to be professional to take it! We were four, and just two of them could go to the mountain... The snow was not very good....It was ice very hurtfull!

Great ski area with beautiful views which spans Switzerland and France. Large, open slopes for beginners and scary walls for experts, really has it all! Food is great with lots of bars and restaurant options. Easy to access by train (Champery for example) or car (road to Champery is not windy so good with kids and delicate stomachs;) )
