Amazing

Standing tall in the middle of old town. Simply irresistible. Closes early (I think around 7pm), plan the visit accordingly.

You can go to the top and see the beautiful Geneva. Totally worth it. Go to the top and take a look of whole Geneva. You can buy posts at the first floor

The Cathedral brings your thought on the early years of Geneva in its French years. The Cathedral is kept very clean and the silent environment wakes up your ritual feeling within you. It is good for those love historical monuments and have faith in any religion.

No trip to Geneva would be complete without a visit to the Cathedral de St. Pierre. Dating to the mid-12th century, the cathedral boasts a simple chair used by John Calvin. The area under the cathedral has been extensively excavated and offers a great look into Geneva's past back to the Roman Empire. A fee allows visitors the chance to... More

I completely understand that this is a Protestant cathedral and therefore 'distractions' were very much taken out of it. However for me, it was just a bit lackluster... It is free though and in the cathedral you are able to reach the chapel of the maccabees which is beautiful and so peaceful (especially when there's a school trip in the... More

The Cathedral is high up on a hill in Geneva so we took a taxi bike ride almost to the top - our 'pilot' must be very fit! The Cathedral is very impressive with lots of medieval and later detail. The side chapel is beautiful and Calvins very plain and simple chair is on view. Hope the photos give an... More

At first glance, this cathedral looks very plain and stark in the interior except for some lovely stained glass windows, wooden choir stalls and ornate capitals on the columns. The Cathedral was started in 1160 in Romanesque style and completed in the 1200's in Gothic style. During the Reformation, it was stripped of most of its elaborate Roman Catholic altars,... More

Nice little cathedral in centre of old town. Only visited to get views of the city from the towers. For 5chf you get to go up the towers which is a narrow spiral staircase that takes you straight to the top. Great views of the city and lake and was not very busy.
