You can actually see just the patio of this chateau without taking organized tour, which is free of charge. It is close to the city center, the walk is agreeable and the views are beautiful

Be aware that there are specific times for the visits (they are all for free). Some guides might not speak well English and you might end up having very confusing explanations of the castle and the history of Neuchatel . The guide might easily switch...More

just go up there and take in the view on the whole city from up there. it is worth it. sometimes if you are on the right time you can go up the prisonner tower and have even a better view

Just a nice place to walk to. Also nice as point of view on the historic part of Neuchâtel. Worth it on sunny days for shooting pictures. Else, no restaurant nor any other entertainment.
