It's a nice place to come for a walk. Kids will also like it since there are many enclosures with different native animals such as deer, boars, marmots and lynx. An added bonus is the great view over the city of St. Gallen on one side and Lake Constance on the other side.

Amazing place! If you are around it is a must, walking in an uncontaminated and very quite place is very enjoyable! The only side note is that there are very few parking places and it is easy to remain stuck there because if queue of cars that came in and queue of cars that go away.

This is a place to go there every day. You can appreciate all four seasons, its beautiful even in the rain. Good for jogging, walking, alone and with children. The animals are beautiful too!

Being used to everything in Switzerland costing a fortune I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice attraction for free. The natural animal park, founded around 100 years ago is located on a small hill above Sankt Gallen. A 45 minutes walk on a forest sentry will take you around several vast enclosures with local fauna as deers, springbock,... More

The park has several trails and houses several species of deer, goats and other herbivores. Trek up to the highest point for an amazing view around and this is one nature experience that you definitely shouldn't miss out on!

As I studied in St Gallen, I went to the Wildpark many times throughout the years. I submit that the fall period is the best time to see the animals at their most lively, but others may have had a different experience. They have a large variety of mountain animals along with deer, wild hogs, marmots, and wild cats. Enjoy!

The view from up here takes some beating, you can see clear to Lake Constance on a decent day. Most worthwhile in good weather, you can also walk around the enclosures (very natural) that contain local wildlife such as lynx and ibex. It's very up and down, so not good for wheelchairs, but very pleasant for walkers. Nice and shady... More
