All I can say is "WOW"

This is exactly what I think of when I think Swiss postcard. Fantastic hiking - off season is really nice c

We hiked up the mountain for a more strenuous hike - at last more challenging than hiking down the trail. Relatively well-marked path, stunning views and the sounds of the cow bells in the distance were hypnotic (comforting for my wife who doesn't like heights).

I also agree; some of the reviews are not of the Eiger Trail. You will need hiking shoes/boots and experience will help. We took the train from Wengen to Eigergletcher station and jumped off. Not any of the other 150 people on the train going to the Jungfrau got off. There was and inch and a half of snow on... More

This is a great walk - not so much for the views of the Eiger North Face, although they are great, but more for views back to Grindelwald and of the area. Boots are needed and it's quite tough, but we're in our 70s and we managed it easily. Get off the train at Alpiglen and follow the signs.

We took the train to jungfraujoch and trekked to the restaurant . The kids loved it as did we. The altitude was fine albeit the ascent from Grindlewald up was approx 2500mts in a short space of time. We decided to walk back to Grindlewald from kleine scheidegg which took a few hours but well worth the trek. #Take plenty... More

It is quite clear that quite a few of your reviewers have not walked this trail, although they think they have ! I think that some of them have done the Kleine Schiedegg to Alpiglen walk . The Eiger Trail is described as being for experienced walkers only . Certainly you need walking boots and poles do help . It is... More

We took the reverse route , reached kleine scheidegg via train from Grindelwald (It charges even if you have swiss pass) and then downslope to grindelwald , the Alpiglen is a wonderful pitstop for taking some pictures and then further down to grindelwald . beautiful alpine , fresh water fountains and friendly cattles will be your partner .. Will surely... More

We began the trail by taking the Jungfraujoch train up to the first station from Kleine Sheideg where the Eiger Trail begins or finishes depending which way round you choose to do it. The trail is good going on a fine day but weI wouldn't do it if it was very windy or icy/snowy.It traverses the Eiger with the famous... More

After visiting the Jungfrau Joch and hiking to the Moench Joch hut, we got off at Eigergletscher and walked the trail to Alpiglen. The view was fantastic and the trail easily walkable even for this 77 year old woman.

We did NorthFace trail out of Murren...incredible beautiful and lovely...make sure you bring your own water, and snacks...or you can eat at one of the little "restaurants" along the way -- but beware you'll pay dearly as they're in middle of nowhere! Loved it.
