This site you could see the peak of jungfrau and the bay of Grindelwald. It's amazing view. Worth to stay here a little longer before heading up to the peak

We hiked up from Wengen to Kleine Scheidegg on the scenic trail (Allmend, Mettlenalp, Wengeneralp) Which took about 3 hours. The first half of the trail is on a single track road which had about 2 cars on it during the whole hike. The second...More

One of the few places in the world where one can play with snow at the railway station. A really beautiful spot!

This place is pretty small but the surrounding mountains are mighty and i adore them. I could not stop watching the nature. Many people go skying in the area. The transport connections are good, but mind the working hours of the trains departures.

I arrived at Grindelwald 5th January, and webcams showed little but grass only days before; but what a difference a few days of fresh stuff can make. Kleine Scheidegg is easily reached by rail from Grindelwald via Grund and the train rides are part of...More

You need to change the train line here to get to Jungfraujoch. Spending some time to see things around is time well spent, its a scenic place and you will have great views of the Alps from here.

Be very careful buying your ski passes on line. we were given terrible advise ahead of our trip to the region in Feb17. They effectively sold us £75 worth of additional ski pass for a family of four that we didn't need for our 4...More

... that's what Kleine Scheidegg is. From here one can go down to Wengen or Grindelwald and the offer of different slopes is amazing. And in right in the middle of that you have a full functioning and busy real (mountain) Swiss Railway train station.

If you visit Grindelwald, for sure you will also go up to the "Kleine Scheidegg", a nice plateau just below the famous Eiger North Face. The best way to get their is to take the train. It is a cog railway. And you won't believe how...More

Hi, I am planning to travel to this place in July'17 with my 22 months old daughter. Will this place be okay for her (altitude, weather)? Will there be snow?

Hi there may not be snow there in July but your daughter will be ok. You can always email the tourist information office in Interlaken if you have any concerns. Hope this helps.
Do the train staff provide good information?

Sorry not been on Trip Advisor for a while. We have always had lots of help and advice while travelling around Switzerland by train. If you have any problems the train staff are happy to help and to try to resolve any issues.
We are booked in Wilderswil in Feb 2017, with the visitors card, can we travel by bus/train to Grindelwald and/or Lauterbrunnen, or do we have to pay from a certain point. Can we travel with the ski-bus or do we need a ski-pass if we want to go do some sledging in Grindelwald / Kleine Scheidegg.
