We made a very nice hiking around the Muottas in the summer (July). He weather was just perfect, sunny, not cold but not hot. We took the funicular uphill and from there we walked a long trail downhill. It took us around 3 hours.
Visited this attraction on the advice of a local family we met on the train. Probably wouldn’t have visited if judging it only from ground level. Once up the mountain, the views are SPECTACULAR!!!! Went up at sunset...WOW! Don’t miss this view.
Hotel and restaurant are modern but still in a traditional way. Food is great, the hotel rooms a dream. Fantastic is the philosophy behind: energy neutral place, i.e. Heating is powered by solar panels, most probably the electric power, too.
