Perfect location, excellent view on the lakes, Diavolezza and Corvatsch just around the corner. Very cosy restaurant with excellent menu. I even had a dinner with live music.

We stumbled across Romantik Hotel as a great overnight stay and intermission on the Bernini Express journey from Chur to Tirano.
And it definitely was. Absolutely magical and breathtakingly beautiful!
If you can, this is a must do in our books!

Restaurant Muottas Muragl is located at 2,454m altitude on the southern slopes of the Blais da Muottas. The panoramic restaurant & hotel is accessible by a funicular railway. It is the start of one of the ski-slopes of Sankt Moritz.
The well-designed restaurant is children friendly has a large terrace and offers Swiss cuisine. Behind the restaurant you find a children’s playground. Food is fine but don’t expect fine dining. Service is efficient and friendly.
On a nice evening in July, we came for dinner and found the terrace busy. A good sign. The view is superb. We found a nice atmosphere and enjoyed a concert of 2 alpenhorns. We went for Suppenkasper, Rindstatar with fries, accompanied by a glass or Erdinger and had Sterntaler ice-cream as dessert. The food was correctly presented and tasty.
When you appreciate an apéritif or dinner with a great view of the mountains, Muottas Muragl is the place for you

Most hotels will include a free pass during your stay, so we took advantage of it and took the funicular train up to the restaurant. A little stroll and an ice cream out on the beautiful terrace with a view over the mountains. Great!

Muottas Muragi is certainly worth a visit, both for the alpine landscape and for for the views on the top, but also for the traditional train that take you up. The historic train makes the attraction also very well fit for kids. There is a restaurant and a cafe near the hotel at the top.

Wife and I spent about 6 hours here riding the funicular up to the top. Nice restruant, outdoor dining, music, and great hiking. Spectacular views back down into the valley and of St. Moritz. Must do!

Along with the views from Piz Nair and Corvatsch, Muottas Muragl offers a breath-taking view of the Engadin valley. The viewpoint at around 2500m can be reached via a small train (from the Semaden-Pontresina road). Free parking is available.

Hi...We want to do the Panorama Trail. We are experienced hikers. But we are not skiers. Is the chair lift difficult to get into? We'd be carrying backpacks and poles. We are both 67. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay!
Not sure; we were there last October so Covid still had things in an uproar. I would think you would be okay but really cannot say for sure on this!

I arrive in St Moritz at 11:00 am and take the train back to Tirano at 2:48 a.m. At this time can I visit the Muottas Muragl and return? How do I make the journey?

Salve e buon anno, Bluana
Cordiali saluti
